In the late 80's and early 90's, the Euro dance scene was evolving,  Slower BPM "Italo Disco" (Albert One, Miko Mission, Silver Pozzoli and many others) had evolved to the high BPM tracks,  I believe this was really an influence on the early days of "Techno", "Trance" and "Club Bangers".  In the Eurobeat genre, you started seeing records at 130 BPM overshadow anything slower.

High Energy Eurobeat was here and it created a frenzy.  Aerobics instructors went berserk over this music because it was fast for high speed cardio workouts and DJ's (like me) were feeding their addiction to it.  My Technics 1100 turntables were specially modified to play any speed from 1 RPM to 100 RPM.  I made a 130 BPM track play at 160 BPM.  The vocals totally chipmunked and it completely ruined the track's integrity, but that's what the aerobics instructors wanted.  It really was insane.

Italian labels like Asia Records (SAIFAM), A-Beat-C, Radiorama (SAIFAM) and many others were pumping out these great tracks faster than we could get our hands on them, usually they sold out the first day.  High Energy DJ's were fighting for their copy.

I ordered these records from 12" Dance Records in Washington DC and was on the phone with them almost daily to make sure I was reserved MY copy of the newest High Energy Eurobeat.  It was crazy.

Here is a genre, that I TRULY love!!!   And I LOVED making this mix in 1998 with the tracks at their ORIGINAL speed.  Enjoy it.!!!!!!
